Wild Roses are a three-piece band from Hertfordshire that perform songs from the 1950s to the present day, including original material.
Comprised of Annatt Bass (vocals, harmonica, tambourine), Will Westaway (guitar, vocals) and Raph de Albuquerque (guitar, vocals, piano), they have been playing together as a band for the past four years and have been performing on the local circuit since 2021.
Annatt’s musical journey started with a degree at the Royal Academy of Music. Highlights of her early career include playing the role of Madame Giry in Lloyd Webber’s Phantom of the Opera in London’s West End and singing on stage with Elton John at Wembley Stadium as part of his backing vocal ensemble.
Will is a film editor and voiceover artist by day, working in the editing suites of Soho. Having played guitar since the age of 15, Will plays a right-handed Martin acoustic guitar and takes his share of lead vocals in the group.
Raph performed as part of the 1990s Oxford indie trio, The Nicotines (London Records), before going on to work in the world of music industry marketing in London. He now shares lead vocals in Wild Roses whilst also playing the left-handed Martin acoustic guitar.
Wild Roses perform original material as well as songs by artists such as Bob Dylan, Neil Young, Steely Dan, Bruce Springsteen, and Prince, among many others. Watch recent performances on their YouTube and follow them on Instagram to be the first to know about upcoming performances.
